JOB- Product Designer / Design Engineer LOCATION- Macclesfield - HybridTERM- PermanentSALARY- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience My client is looking for a Product Designer / Design Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Cheshire area. They are an expert in their field and provide Engineering Design solutions to Retail / POS industry

The Design Engineer role will involve:

• Experienced using Solidworks CAD
• Drawing components and assemblies
• Overview of adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator
• Used to working on Microsoft office
• Portfolio examples of previous work to date
• Experience of 1+ years in a similar role (manufacture, engineering, design)
• Knowledge of manufacture and production processes important
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in kiosks, cabinets, vending would be good Personal specification
• Keen eye for detail
• Self-motivated and happy to work autonomously
• Positive outlook with an enthusiastic and friendly approach
• Flexible and adaptable with persistent drive to learn new skills and continuously improve
• Confident in self-managing time to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines

• Preparation of production files

• Product handover and sign off with production team
• Supporting the design team in concept development from briefs supplied
• Buildings and preparing presentations for sales presentations
• Keeping abreast of the latest trends in POS design and manufacture
• Presentation creation
