Duties for the role of Graduate Town Planner:

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Supporting planning appraisals and site assessments.
• Undertaking research into planning policy, legislation and local planning matters.
• Assisting with planning statements, reports and other supporting documentation.
• Monitoring planning applications and liaising with local planning authorities.
• Supporting consultants with pre-application enquiries and planning negotiations.
• Assisting with planning appeals and development plan representations.
• Carrying out research into development opportunities and planning constraints

Requirements for the role of Graduated Town Planner:

• A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Urban Design or a related subject.
• A genuine interest in the planning and development sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A professional and personable approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
