'Heartbroken' mother cut off from nursery after raising concerns over son's care

A mother was left 'heartbroken' after being cut off by her child's nursery.
Gulcan Aydogan is calling for an investigation into the care practices at Bright Horizons Tytherington Day Nursery.
It comes after her four-year-old son returned home on four separate occasions covered in sores, which she feels is an indication he had been left in soiled clothing for an extended period.
Gulcan said: "These repeated incidents are just not acceptable – they raise serious concerns about the nursery's basic hygiene practice and safeguarding responsibilities.
"As a parent, it was heartbreaking to see my son come home in such a painful and distressed state and even more concerning that this was the fourth time.
"His legs and bottom were so sore that we had to apply cream every two to three hours throughout the night to ease his discomfort and help him sleep."

Gulcan, 35, raised the issue through an official complaint to the nursery but says her concerns were 'dismissed outright'.
The nursery then terminated her contract, claiming she had 'intimated' staff.
A spokesperson for Bright Horizons said: "The safety and happiness of the children in our care is of paramount importance to us, as is the welfare of our colleagues.
"When concerns are raised by parents, it is our policy always to listen and act.
"However, at a meeting with one family, our team was faced with unacceptable and intimidating behaviour, including multiple instances of swearing in the presence of nursery children and other parents.
"We subsequently took the difficult decision to end our relationship with the family in question, as we cannot tolerate abusive behaviour towards our staff."

Gulcan 'fully rejects' these allegations and feels the nursery's actions are an attempt to 'silence' her.
She added: "Instead of taking accountability, they've made completely unfounded claims of 'bullying' which simply didn't happen.
"I was advocating for my child's well-being, and I stand by that.
"Any parent would do the same after seeing their child suffer due to repeated neglect."
Gulcan continued: "I am now calling for the Early Years Team and relevant authorities to urgently investigate the nursery's care practices and complaint-handling procedures.
"Our experience suggests a worrying failure to protect children and support families when legitimate concerns are raised."
