Heating engineers' former home hits the market after company enters liquidation

A heating company's former home has been put up for sale.
The property once occupied by Tomkinson Heating on Buxton Road has hit the market.
It comes after the firm went into liquidation in March, with their goodwill and customer base acquired by GasCare.
Priced at £275,000, the building is described as an 'excellent owner occupier opportunity' that is 'suitable for a variety of uses'.
The listing also states it has the potential to be turned into a residential property, subject to planning.
It reads: "66 Buxton Road comprises a three-storey retail property most recently occupied by a heating equipment supplier.
"The layout lends itself well to a variety of uses, including continued retail or showroom use, with potential for alternative configurations.
"Subject to the necessary planning consents, the property also offers scope for residential redevelopment."

The listing continues, highlight the property's 'prominent position' and location.
"A combination of transport links and high-profile positioning makes the property an attractive option for occupiers seeking strong connectivity and prominent exposure," it states.
Tomkinson Heating, a family-owned business, was established in 1951.
On March 3, Andrew Ryder of JT Maxwell was appointed as liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.
GasCare then acquired various assets including their goodwill, 10,000-strong customer database, name and phone number but not the company as a whole.

Carl Enser, GasCare's managing director, said: "Tomkinson Heating was a very well-respected brand and they did very good work.
"Sadly, a couple of events conspired that resulted in them entering liquidation.
"But we are here to pick up the slack and look after their customers.
"We offer the same great service, just with extra care."
