The most streamed band from Macclesfield right now have released another single ahead of their second album.

Cassia - who have members from Prestbury, The Moss Estate and Tytherington - released Not Enough Time to Think on Friday.

Not Enough Time to Think is the longest of the four singles confirmed to appear on their new album Why You Lacking Energy?, which will release in July.

It also stands apart sonically, with a cinematic instrumental intro, lasting almost thirty seconds, a rarity in the music streaming era.

This long intro is ironically apt - given the song's themes of impatience.

The album edit of the new song is slightly longer - being just over four minutes. The single hits a crisp three minutes thirty seconds however, perfect for national radio, where the band recieves a lot of love.

Lead vocalist Rob Ellis said: "Not Enough Time to Think is a song about feeling impatient whilst being away from someone you care about and that ever growing sense of uncertainty as to whether that person will wait for you.

"[I] Had fun diving into the production on this one and adding some extra elements we haven't used before. [We] hope you dig it."

The usual Cassia grooves of an everlasting tropical holiday are complimented by handclaps and profound lyrics in the new tune.

The echoey effects on the guitar and base at the end of the track give off shades of New Order, as a homage to their Macclesfield roots.

The Macclesfield band spend their days inbetween Berlin and Macclesfield.

Not Enough Time To Think, is a woozy, long-distance love song, driven by an intense, impatient bass line and a dreamy string intro.

The video for the new track is out on Wednesday, April 27.

The videos will explore the full LP's theme of a loose concept album about an energy drink called Motion.

The single will feature alongside previously released tracks Motions, Similar and Right There on Why You Lacking Energy?, dropping July 15 on BMG.

The album 'Why You Lacking Energy?' will release on July 25.

From spacious piano ballads to crisp, synth-driven anthems, the self-produced record digs into the tension that exists in Cassia's music: these are songs that feel like living in the moment, but are caught up in thoughts of the past and anxieties for the future.

The 12-track release will be available on limited edition pale pink vinyl with a tricolour limited vinyl also available from HMV, independent record stores and the band's official artist store site, where fans will also be able to purchase a glitter cassette.

They hope Macclesfield will celebrate the release, which is less than three months away.

Their next local gig will be at Manchester - Academy 2 on October 13.

The Macclesfield band are popular worldwide.

Cassia hope to surpass 50 million plays on Spotify this year, as well as charting with their new album.
