Two kittens are seeing a fur-ever home in Macclesfield.

Nine month old brothers Loki and Thor are looking for their forever home together after being in care at Silk Cat Rescue in Pott Shrigley for over five months.

The siblings are hoping to share their first birthday in the company of new owners.

Rescued off a farm near Leek, the Macclesfield mousers are in good health and well socialised.

The domestic shorthair kitties are described as

Silk Cat Rescue is a friendly, volunteer run, registered charity doing what it can to find new homes for destitute cats and kittens in the area.

Homing Officer, Irene North, said, "The after effects of the pandemic and the financial crisis means there is no end of people looking to, sadly, find new homes for their cats. We can't help everyone but do our best to give advice and signpost help. Combined with a downturn in numbers of people adopting pets it's still very surprising that Loki and Thor have been in our care for so long given they are such lovely kittens."

Thor and Loki, named after superheroes, are curious cats who are friendly with children over five years old.

You can find more about them and make an enquiry to home on this link. More details about the cats and kittens currently looking for homes are on the rescue's website www.silkcatrescue.org.uk/adopt together with details on how to apply to adopt Loki and Thor.
