A free art exhibition from a Macclesfield ceramicist takes place this week.

Will Boyce, who lives in Upton Priory, will be exhibiting his work on Roe Street for three days.

The ceramic exhibition will be at Scoop and Scales on Friday August 25 from 10am to 4pm.

You can also catch the exhibit on a Saturday and Sunday at the same venue.

Will's love of ceramic sculpture began around the age of seven, eventually leading him to complete a foundation course at Hertfordshire College of Art & Design.

From here Will was drawn to the Potteries where he gained a BA honours degree in art & design.

Will's work draws inspiration from the world and society around him, or as Shakespeare referred to 'a mirror to nature.

The exhibition at Scoop and Scales over the Bank Holiday weekend is his 3rd solo show in Macclesfield since moving here four years ago.

There will be number of pieces highlighting issues of concern in today's society, including a multimedia sculpture entitled The Detritus.

The exhibit follows Will creating a bespoke piece for Scoop and Scales earlier in the year.
