The first of a four day festival in Macclesfield took place on Friday night.
Party in the Pews, which will raise money for The Christie Macclesfield, will see thousands raised for the local cancer treatment centre.
As well as ticket sales, a portion of bar sales will also go to charity.
The Christ Church event saw Bolton punk rockers Buzzcocks headlining Friday night, bringing the first day of this Bank Holiday weekend music festival to a close.
As well as their classic hits, the veteran band performed tracks from their new EP Senses Out of Control.
Before Buzzcocks, Macclesfield rock band The Virginmarys also captivated the audience.
The VM's played their first homecoming show since their return from their big tour of Sweden.
Their rapturous performance comes a week after their appearance on national television, profiling their Scandinavian adventure.
And The Virginmarys did not hold back for Macc, with highlights being new single The Meds and Where Are You Now, a title taken all too literate for when you lose your mates at a music festival.
Their most popular track Just A Ride is even better live, with Dickaty's vocals sounding even more northern in concert!
The local lads ended their set with a rousing rendition of Look Out For My Brother.
The band stuck around for drinks after their set, and head to Leicester for another gig tomorrow.
Millie Manders and The Shutup brought the bank holiday weekend energy as darkness crept in, blessing Christ Church with their unique cross genre of punk.
And Macclesfield vendors Rubens Deli and Caravan Bar kept punters watered and fed.
It was also nice to see deck chairs - which are a part of Macclesfield's history - don the lawn of Christ Church.
All this, on just the first day of action.
There are still tickets left for two of the three remaining dates.
You can purchase tickets for Saturday and Sunday here.
Entry costs £33 per person, with funds going to The Christie Macclesfield.
Still to come, there is 2000s pop band Toploader, and Tom Hingley, lead singer of the Manchester act Inspiral Carpets.
Peter Hook will also perform on Monday May 2, but tickets are sold out.
