A new photography studio and co-working space has arrived in Macclesfield.

Pause Creative Studios opened for business earlier this month, bringing a fresh, community-driven concept to Dukes Court.

The venue was founded by Amy Ward and Greg Todd, who want to provide a space for locals to work, create and connect.

Amy said: "We want people to feel like this is a place where they can authentically create, capture moments, and connect with others.

"It's really important to us that it feels inviting and empowering for everyone who comes through the door."

Pause Creative Studio's main service is a self-portrait photography studio.

Visitors have access to professional cameras, lighting, and backdrops, where they can take unlimited photos using a remote clicker.

Images are sent out the same day, making the process simple and flexible for everyone.

Amy said: "I wanted to create a space which was a bit like a community hub.

"It's about bringing together our passion for photography and content creation into the town."

Alongside the self-portrait sessions, Pause Creative Studios also supports co-working, workshops, and private events.

The space includes three side rooms that can be used for meetings or flexible working, with trials for regular co-working days already underway.

Greg, 30, said: "We really wanted it to be affordable because photo shoots can be very expensive.

"The whole idea is you come in and can create the package you want based on what we have and get all of those photos with no hidden add-ons."

The studio's launch party, held on Sunday, October 5, drew a diverse crowd of families, musicians, creatives, and pet owners.

"It was chaotic but in a good way," Amy said.

"We had so many mums and kids here, and it was just lovely to see everyone celebrating the opening of our studio together."

Greg added: "It was such a fun day!"

"We had familiar faces but also met new people and it was great to connect and share our vision with everyone who came through the door."

Looking to the future, Amy and Greg are planning to host a series of workshops designed to encourage creativity and collaboration.

This includes 'Spooky Self-Portraits' on October 31 and a vintage clothing reselling workshop in November.
