Trial bus routes to get Maxonians to Manchester City football games have been confirmed.

A new bus route from Macclesfield, Tytherington, Bramhall to the Etihad has been revealed.

A trial was held last year, and routed already exist, but now a revised longer trial will take place for the remaining 2023/24 season home games.

The bus stop for Macclesfield and Tytherington can be viewed on the image below or this link.

A press release read: "Transport for Greater Manchester and Manchester City are delighted to announce the launch of a large-scale bus trial helping fans from across Greater Manchester and nearby areas to travel to and from the Etihad Stadium on a matchday."

"The dedicated services will be in place from the Chelsea match on Saturday 17 February, until the end of the season, and be operated and managed by Transport for Greater Manchester."

Tickets will be priced at £4 for a single or £8 for a return.

Older people and those with disabilities will be eligible to travel for free provided they are in possession of a National Concessionary Travel Pass.

Macclesfield is one of 17 revised bus routes announced today, with Macc being the furthest south.
