Remembrance Day in Macclesfield: Decorate your window to win prizes

Dressing up your home in Macclesfield for Remembrance Day could bag you prizes.

Cheshire East Council are holding a Remembrance Window display competition, to encourage more of us to honour our Armed Forces and fallen soldiers.

While Macclesfield Town Hall and various shopfronts look spectacular, residents could earn supermarket vouchers if they decorate their home, school or workplace with poppies to honour our veterans.

A selection of £50 Morrison's vouchers will be awarded to the multiple winners.

The top three winning entries will be shared on social media platforms, alongside the gift of a free weekly shop.

All you have to do is deck out your Macclesfield home before November 14 (Remembrance Sunday) and send your pictures in.

You could make your own poppies, drape your house in red, or buy some official Royal British Legion merchandise to decorate the front of your home with.

You can email your entries to [email protected] and winners will be contacted the following day on November 15.

The contest is free to enter.
