It is the first Treacle Market of the year!
2024 will see twelve Treacle Markets, so that's twelve days our town's economy gets a big, big boost.
Founded in 2010, the artisanal market has undergone changes over the years, but one thing that has remained the same is its support for independent traders.
Some stalls have been there for years, and some vendors make their first-ever Treacle Market every month.
And every month, Macclesfield Nub News catches up with Co-Organiser of the Treacle Market Becky Thompson to find out what is going on at this weekend's market.
Sunday, Macclesfield town centre, 10am to 3:30pm, here's what to except.
"We're really excited to hit the ground running for 2024, and ready to go after what has felt like a long six week break," said Becky.
"We have a brand new bar joining us for the first time. Secret Bar. (Who also sell lots of non-alcoholic products for those in the final furlong of Dry January as well.)"
Notable stalls to look out for Sock Monthly will selling sustainable bamboo socks. Their sock-loving founder describes themselves as "quirkly, sustainable bamboo socks with a fun pun underfoot."
Aspro Studios will also be making a Treacle debut, selling zero waste white Scandinavian inspired white clay home décor.
A new biltong stall will make their first appearance, Longhorn Biltong will be on Market Place.
Macclesfield man RD Harris is a local joiner, who is having a stall at Treacle for the first time, he will be taking a table in the Buttermarket.
Modern Woolfare will also be making their Treacle Market debut.
"We do try to have a stall for one person who has got a shop here already," explained Becky.
"So Modern Woolfare will be on Market Place. They aren't open on a Sunday normally as the Indoor Market is closed.
Modern Woolfare will be selling their homemade woollen garments and promoting their new twice-a-week sewing classes.
Musicwise, Annie's Saints and Sinners will be performing., The VB3s will be will performing an extended set.
Elsewhere in Macclesfield on Treacletown day, there's an open day at Christ Church and former Treacle Market stall Cosy Wren will be open in the Grosvenor Centre for their last day of trading.
