Party in the Pews has brought live music back to Macclesfield, in rip-roaring fashion.

Ran by Macclesfield resident Jo Lowes, they host live music events throughout the year, as well as the festival of the same name at Christ Church.

And in another prelude to May's main festival, another night of live music is coming to Macclesfield.

Mark Morriss, known as the frontman of and graceful voice behind The Bluetones, will be performing his first ever concert in Macclesfield. And you can win TWO FREE TICKETS TO THIS CONCERT.

In a date rescheduled from last year, Mark will be performing classic hits from The Bluetones back catalogue and new solo material.

He will take to the stage on Cinemac Live, Roe Street, on February 24, with doors at 7pm.

And Party in the Pews in association with Cinemac Live are giving Nub News readers the chance to win two free tickets to the event, wort at least £30.

Mark Morriss is best known as the frontman for The Bluetones.

As part of the leading charge of 90s Britpop, The Bluetones formed in Hounslow, London, in 1993 scoring thirteen Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums in the UK charts.

Their highest charting single being 1996's Slight Return, which you can listen to at the top of this article.

Three UK No 7 singles followed, as well as four more hits in the Top 20.

Whilst the band are still active, they have not recorded new material since 2010.

However, Mark has embarked on a solo career since 2008, which you can listen to HERE.
