After months of success from an ongoing operation in Widnes, Runcorn and Ellesmere Port, which was launched in response to concerns raised by local residents, riders across the rest of the county will now feel the effects of 'Operation Scrambler'.

A mother has appealed for witnesses after a man allegedly screamed racist abuse at her 10-year-old daughter during the Black Lives Matter demonstration in Macclesfield town centre on Friday (5 June).

The mother, who has requested to remain anonymous, described how her daughter "looked like a rabbit in the headlights" as the man allegedly shouted racially motivated profanities at her.

Cheshire East Council has announced that car parking charges will be reintroduced from Monday (15 June) in line with the reopening of Macclesfield's high street.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service is warning residents about the dangers of smoking at home following a third fatal fire in Cheshire East involving cigarettes since February this year.

The latest fire was on 31 May in the bedroom of a terraced house in Moorhouse Avenue in Alsager. Members of the public rescued an 83-year-old man, and firefighters rescued a 75-year-old woman. The couple were taken to hospital but sadly died days later.
