Lots of FREE events happening over the Macc-Pow weekend!
This year we launch the festival on the evening of Thursday 20th June, with an exclusive showing of the 2009 comic book film KICK-ASS at Cinemac Cinema (FREE ENTRY).
Our main exhibitors day (FREE ENTRY) takes place once again in the listed Macclesfield Town Hall on Saturday June 22nd (10am-4pm) with two amazing rooms bursting with incredible creators exhibiting their work. Yes, you read that correctly, this year we've doubled our capacity thanks to the continued support of Macclesfield Town Council.
FREE EVENTS! There will be activities taking place across Macclesfield in the Macclesfield Library (BEANO drawing with Laura Howell) Emma Reynolds returns with her 'Five minute portraits' at Flour Water Salt. PLUS and a full day of workshops and activities downstairs in the Macclesfield Town Hall. More details coming soon!
On Sunday 23rd of June, The Monocle Cafe transforms into the Graphic Novel Reading Room (FREE ENTRY) and Macclesfield's awsome comics and cartoon-art studio, Room for comics, hosts a full day of drawing workshops! Tickets and booking links released SOON!
Cinemac Cinema closes the festival with a FREE screening of TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE from 1986, celebrating 40 years of the robots in disguise!
There's also lots more to announce (including a fantastic month long exhibition from fantastic Felt Mistress (FREE ENTRY) at the Silk Museum starting on Wednesday 15th May) so keep them peeled!!
