Macclesfield Amateur Swimming Club is a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers. We have been helping children and adults learn to swim since 1893. Our aim is to provide affordable swim sessions for the people of Macclesfield.

Could you spare 30min or an hour a week to help?

We are looking for volunteers both in and out of the water, working alongside our experienced team. You do not need to be a qualified swimming teacher (although please do join us if you are!), we are looking for enthusiastic helpers who can help our swimmers build confidence in the water.

Safeguarding training and DBS checks will be given.

Our swim sessions are on Tuesdays during term time at 7 and 7:30pm for children aged 3+. Our volunteers can then enjoy a free 30-min swim at 8pm, or help us support our adult learners/improvers.

Volunteering with us can fulfil the volunteering requirements of DofE participants.
