Due to service expansion and additional funding, we are delighted to be recruiting multiple Healthcare Assistants to primarily join our growing Hospice@Home team, with some rotation to the inpatient unit.

This exciting investment allows us to extend and strengthen the care we provide to patients within their own homes throughout the East Cheshire region.

Working closely with NHS partners and other charities to complement local services and ensure seamless high-quality care for our community, East Cheshire Hospice provides compassionate, patient-centred care to people living with life-limiting conditions.

We focus on dignity, comfort and quality of life, supporting not only our patients but also those who matter most to them.

The Role:

As a healthcare assistant, you will provide essential care and support to patients, working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
  • Supporting patients with mobility and ensuring comfort.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Assisting with feeding and hydration as needed.
  • Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the hospice environment.
