Nursery Assistant - Fixed Term (Macclesfield Primary School)

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time) Contract: Fixed term - January 2026 until July 2026

Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic early years professional looking for a rewarding role within a primary school setting? Academics is delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in Macclesfield to recruit a Nursery Assistant for a fixed-term contract running until July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Early Years team and make a positive difference to children's learning and development every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Help to create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist in promoting children's social, emotional, and physical development
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and carers to support each child's progress
  • Ensure children are safe, cared for, and happy throughout the school day

Role Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children aged 3-5 years in an early years or nursery setting
  • A positive, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Paediatric first aid trained (or willing to train)
