A Macclesfield Christmas decorations company have kindly decorated East Cheshire Hospice for Christmas.
Abbey Festive Decor, a new business founded in 2020, spent two days decking the halls of East Cheshire Hospice.
The luxury Christmas, wedding and event planners, took the short trip from Queen's Avenue to Millbank Drive, to kindly give the gift of their stock and to decorate East Cheshire Hospice.
Abbey Festive Decor Founder Scott Hulme (55) and Business Development Executive Megan Jones (21), reached out to the Hospice in October, who were delighted that a small local business would decorate their premises for free.
They spread Christmas cheer in every communal space at the Hospice, from the outdoor entrance, to the main reception area, the family room, the Sunflower room and the Garden.
"It has been an honour to provide Christmas decorations to Macclesfield’s East Cheshire Hospice, and we hope to do so for many years to come," said Scott.
"We chose East Cheshire Hospice because of the tireless work ALL the staff do on a day-to-day basis, to ensure patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses, receive the best possible care.
"They also support family members and friends by providing programs, support and generally helping to make the right choices. They are all superheroes.
"Everybody was so welcoming during our short spell at the Hospice. Nothing seems to be too much trouble to them.
"Even when they are all so busy, they found the time to come to show their appreciation and thanks. That means more to us than anything.
"The staff, residents and visiting relatives/friends were all very receptive with many posting photos on social media platforms to thank us."
The event experts have their own web store, which sells some of the Christmas decorations they gave to and put up at East Cheshire Hospice.
The company wanted to decorate East Cheshire Hospice last year, in their first year of operation, but were unable to due to COVID.
"Businesses can play a positive role in society, and partnering with a local charity is perhaps the most direct way of giving something back to the community," added Scott.
"Megan and I would like to wish all the staff there a very Merry Christmas. They so deserve it.
Luke Brightmore, Marketing Manager at the Hospice said:
“Our aim at the Hospice is to create an atmosphere of warmth, happiness, comfort and joy, so Christmas time is really important.
"Abbey Festive Decor have really helped us raise the bar this year and we’d like to thank them for bringing such a wonderfully festive feel to the building for our patients, families, visitors, volunteers and staff to enjoy.”
