A Macclesfield music festival has launched a podcast, in association with The Vegan Society.
Bluedot Festival, which was last held in 2019, is hosted at Macclesfield's Jodrell Bank near Siddington.
The festival already had a science presence at their festivals, but they have deepened this connection with launching their own climate-conscious podcast.
The Plate Up! Podcast will delve into veganism, and speak to musicians, scientists, and famous vegans from across the globe.
All three episodes will be posted during the COP26 conference which is currently happening in Glasgow.
The first episode features electronic musician Moby, who has never performed in Macclesfield before, but will be hotly-tipped to perform in 2022 after his Bluedot podcast appearance.
The Plate Up! Podcast is hosted by Wilmslow-based BBC Radio 6 music presester Chris Hawkins.
In the maiden episode, Hawkins said: "To coincide with Cop26, taking place in Glasgow, this miniseries will be delving into the role that veganism can play in the future of our planet."
"Over the next three episodes we'll be speaking with climate change scientists, sustainability experts and notable vegans to discuss how adopting lifestyle changes can make a difference to the future of our blue dot…
"From the roots of the vegan worldview, to our current climate crisis, and some of the solutions veganism and sustainable lifestyles could provide.
"In this first episode we'll be introducing what veganism mean in 2021 – what it represents, how it might be different to what you think, and how wide-ranging the vegan lifestyle is. We'll be uncovering the background to modern veganism, and the ethical perspectives that have become the foundation for the vegan way of life."
The first episode is under 20 minutes long, and can be listened to here and here.
New York grammy nominated artist Moby said: "Like most people, I grew up with the weird paradox of loving animals and also eating animals."
"It is such a ubiquitous ingrained cultural paradox that no one is almost aware of."
The Macc music event is also hosting talks in Glasgow pubs sharing the same vegan message, with celebrity guests such as Chris Packham.
The first Bluedot Festival was held in Macclesfield in July 2016. It brings 15,000 people a day to our local economy.
The festival has supported eco initiatives in the past such as reusable cups and pledging 0% waste going to landfill.
It is unknown if future Bluedot festivals will serve vegan-only food.
Bluedot Festival have been approached for comment.
Two months ago, the first headliner for Bluedot 2022 was revealed.
The festival will take place from July 22 - July 24 2022.
