A Macclesfield Nub News sponsor has a new recruit.

Callen 'Cal' Deighan is the latest friendly face to join Easy Winning Limited, as their first-ever hire.

It means the online raffle firm can offer more prize draws to the general public, and the customer gets a smoother experience than ever.

Before Cal was hired, Easy Winning Limited Founder Charles Edwards spent the majority of the competition firm's existence working on his own.

"Me and Charlie have been in contact with each other for two years," said Cal.

"I've been helping him where I can. And we've always been talking about working together, and eventually it has got to the point now where he has so much on that he needed a second pair of hands, he can't do it on his own anymore.

"My main duties will be digital marketing, so all the paid adverts on the internet, Google Analytics, I will be doing stuff behind the scenes.

"Charlie will still be the face of the business, the brand is Charlie, everyone knows him and he has built a small community around it.

"So Charlie can remain doing that while I focus on other things in the background.

"It is a good thing for Easy Winning as we can put more competitions on, and go and visit more customers that have won prizes, as there's two of us now.

"It also means winners can get paid out quicker, so it is better for the player as well. I'll also be on hand to answer any customer service enquiries, we get a lot of messages on Facebook every single day."

Easy Winning Limited is a Buxton-based competition's company which recently expanded to Macclesfield.

Raffle tickets can cost as little as 15p to enter, with prizes ranging from thousands, to tens of thousands of pounds, games consoles, branded items, and cars.

Many winners go on to spend their earnings within the local economy, an advantage the firm has over similar things like lotteries.

"We want to see how far we can grow this. It is exciting times," added Cal.

"As a marketer, word of mouth is a big thing, especially as our business is built on trust.

"We have thousands of previous winners, from people who have bought two tickets for 49p and won £22,000, to a woman who paid 15p for one ticket and won £1,000 which she spent on her holiday.

"For us, we are all about trying to get that trust, that is the main barrier of entry for our customers.

"If you have not played, there's never been a better time to."

Easy Winning Limited Founder Charles Edwards is excited by the expansion.

"Bringing in Cal makes things much more smoother", said Charles.

"It is so great to have him. We can do a lot more now.

"Thank you to everyone for their support, we will be launching more charity competitions soon, and have plenty of fantastic prizes in 2024."
