What could you do with 15p?

There's not much that costs 15p these days, barring a new competition service that could see you win £10,000 in Macclesfield.

Easy Winning Limited is a one-man competition company ran by Buxton resident Charles Edwards.

They host online raffles every day, with prizes ranging from the latest gadgets to tens of thousands of tax-free cash.

And unlike national competitors or the lottery, this local service where you could win BIG costs just 15p to enter.

Once a secret of the High Peak, Easy Winning Limited is now letting Macclesfield in on the secret which could bag YOU shedloads of money.

£600,000 has been won by over 1000 winners since the firm started in 2020.

Macclesfield Nub News met with Charles Edwards for lunch in Macclesfield, to explain how it works.

Please note: You need to make an account to enter the draws, so you can be contacted if you win.

"Easy Winning Limited started in lockdown 2020", said Charles.

"I had to come back from travelling and I couldn't find a job through COVID. So I started entering lots of online prize draws, and saw a massive gap in the market that nobody was doing this sort of thing in our area.

"We do daily cash draws Monday to Friday, which close at 12:30pm each day. And I stream the live draw on our Facebook daily at 1pm.

"In addition to the daily draws, we do a big jackpot once per week on Wednesday night at 9pm. Sometimes we have two large jackpots in a week. We also have an extra draw on a Sunday as well."

Please note: You must be 18 or over to enter. Terms and conditions apply. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

Easy Winning Limited pay for prizes through the amount of entries they get.

As well as thousands of pounds given out a month, the independent company also gives out prizes like smartphones, air fryers and games consoles.

You can enter the draw's online or via a free postal entry, as stated on the site's terms and conditions.

"I decided to make it 15p to enter from the start, as it keeps it low and cheerful for everyone," revealed Charles.

"You can buy as many tickets as you like, we had someone today who won the £500 prize from buying just three tickets, so she spent just 45p and won.

"We've got a big upcoming prize draw for a £10,000 giveaway [which you can enter on this link if you enter before the draw on Sunday].

"I think we are better than our national competitors because you have a realistic chance of winning. We have a £10,000 draw coming up, and the odds to win that are 1 in 3999, whereas the odds to win the lottery are one in 45 million."

And while the High Peak business expands into Macclesfield for the first time, there couldn't be a better time to join while the business is still small and familiar.

Other than Charles' parents coming with him to take photos of the winners, it is just him that runs Easy Winning Limited.

This builds trust with the players, and makes it easier for people to visualise the possibility of them winning.

Charles explained why now was the time to attract new players from Macclesfield.

"We haven't promoted ourselves in Macclesfield until now," he explained.

"We wanted to choose Macclesfield as our first place to expand to as I am a Buxton lad, and feel the connection between the two towns.

"It is a lovely drive. I used to come here loads to watch one of my mates play for Macclesfield Town FC.

"We already have a few dozen entering from Macclesfield without promoting ourselves, our goal is to increase that and build the transparency to grow it and take off like it has in Buxton."

Charles already supports businesses in Macclesfield like Bollington Adelphi Mill graphics company Merge who print his uniform. But he would like to also link up with Macclesfield charities as he spreads the word of Easy Winning Limited throughout the Macclesfield community.

Charles also does raffles for charity, where he will match the jackpot with a donation to a good cause, and would love to link up with charities in Macclesfield. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

This is because as well as providing prizes to the public with his online raffles, Easy Winning sometimes do charity raffles, where he will give away a certain amount and match it to a local charity.

The most recent example of this was a £500 donation from a 15p raffle (meaning 3333 people entered), which Charles matched out of his own pocket and donated to Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith (11 miles from Macclesfield).

"I'm working until 10pm every day of the week, including weekends, but I love every minute of it. I wouldn't change it for the world," added Charles.

"I used to work in an office job in customer service before, but what is great about my current job as I'm out and about all day, meeting new people. And to hear the reaction when I call up the winner to tell them they've won ten grand is just an amazing feeling."

Other recent notable prizes include a Ford Fiesta, holidays, huge TVs, and an iMac computer. And some of the tech raffles even have cash alternatives if you win.

Please note: Some raffles may have a higher entry price, but most are just 15p to enter.
