A local company will make someone £100,000 richer this May.

Online prize draw operator High Peak Comps will pay one lucky winner £100,000 on Saturday May 30.

It is the record amount of money that the Dove Holes-based online prize draw operator has ever offered.

The winning ticket could be up for grabs for as little as 89p - with tickets being able to be purchased on the High Peak Comps website.

The joint-biggest ever single prize follows High Peak resident Jade Lawrence winning £100,000 with High Peak Comps on Christmas Day 2025.

High Peak Comps was started in 2020, and is owned by Charles Edwards.

"We are halfway into the year, which means it's been six months since we did our largest ever prize draw," said Charles.

"And we are proud (or should we say crazy) to say that we are doing another £100,000 prize draw on May 30.

"We are going to make someone £100,000 richer, in what will be an extra special comp for us, as it's just days off our six year anniversary.

The winner of the joint-record High Peak Comps draw will be revealed on the High Peak Comps Facebook page on Saturday, May 30, 8pm.

You can buy more than one ticket to increase your odds, however, entries are limited to 3000 per customer.

And it's not just the general public who could benefit from High Peak Comps.

High Peak Comps gives thousands of pounds to charitable projects each month.

In fact, the company will be taking on the Great Manchester Run for a local homeless charity just hours after the milestone draw.

Recent charity donations include £500 to Buxton Fringe and £500 to Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust.

The company has also paid for the installation of 14 defibrillators in the local area.
