A new back pain support programme will launch in the Upton Priory of Macclesfield, this month.

Everybody Health & Leisure has announced its next ESCAPE-pain for backs programme at Macclesfield Leisure Centre starting September 17.

ESCAPE-pain for backs is a rehabilitation programme designed to help reduce pain and disability for people with chronic low back pain, through education and exercise.

Donna Williamson, senior health innovation manager at Everybody Health & Leisure, shares: "We are delighted to share the next ESCAPE-pain for backs programme will be starting on September 17 at Macclesfield Leisure Centre."

"The ESCAPE-pain for backs programme reduces pain, improves physical function and improves mental wellbeing, self-confidence and self-esteem.

"The weekly sessions give participants a chance to take part in a group exercise programme, weekly educational discussions on self-management and coping strategies and circuit style exercise classes, which are individualised and progressive to suit each individual's needs."

Take part in a group exercise programme, twice a week for the initial first six weeks, tailored to your individual needs. Followed by a further 6 week membership with unlimited use of the Everybody leisure facility.

An eligibility criteria does apply, for further information, to enrol on the programme or if you have any questions please contact the Everybody Healthy team on: [email protected] or phone: 01270 685589.
