There is less than two weeks until Macclesfield College's first open event of the academic year.

On Thursday, October 23, the Park Lane college will open its doors to school leavers, adult learners and those looking for a new challenge who are interested in applying for a course.

From 5.30pm to 7.30pm, guests will be able to tour the college's modern, industry standard, facilities and try out interactive subject activities while meeting tutors and current students.

This event also marks the launch of applications for September 26, making it the perfect time to start planning your next steps.

A spokesperson for Macclesfield college said: "You'll discover the wide choice of courses on offer, designed to take you wherever you want to go, from university and apprenticeships to career opportunities.

"We know education is about more than just studying. That's why you'll also be able to find out about the wide ranging support on offer, from financial help and subsidised travel to learning support and dedicated wellbeing services.

"Plus, with a buzzing programme of enrichment activities, clubs and events, you'll have the chance to grow personally, make friends and build confidence along the way."

If you can't make the open event in October then don't fear, as Macclesfield College will be doing it all again on Saturday, November 22, from 10.30am to 1pm.
