Macclesfield: Election hustings for young voters to take place at Tytherington School

A Macclesfield school is to hold a general election hustings, just days before the general election on Thursday, July 4.
Seven candidates want to be Macclesfield's next member of parliament, and all of them have been invited to an upcoming hustings at Tytherington School.
The hustings, is targeted at young voters, and will take place at the end of the month.
The Under 30s Hustings will take place at Tytherington School on Saturday 29 June at 4.30pm.
Details will follow shortly about how to book a place in the audience.
Conservative candidate David Rutley won the seat with a majority of 10,711 in 2019. He is standing again.
Tim Roca is the parliamentary hopeful for the Labour Party. Neil Christian is the candidate for the Liberal Democrats, Amanda Iremonger is standing for the Green Party.
Stephen Broadhurst is running for Reform UK, Christopher Wellavize is standing as an Independent candidate, and the Social Democratic Party candidate is Dickie Fletcher.
The constituency has not been affected by the shake-up of electoral boundaries.
The electorate is given as 75,881 and wards in the Macclesfield constituency are: Bollington; Broken Cross and Upton, Disley, Gawsworth, Macclesfield Central, Macclesfield East, Macclesfield Hurdsfield, Macclesfield South, Macclesfield Tytherington (where the hustings will take place), Macclesfield West and Ivy, Poynton East and Pott Shrigley, Poynton West and Adlington, Prestbury, and Sutton.
