An ultra runner from Bollington has launched her first solo art show.

Caroline Constable's exhibition, titled People, Races, Places, is now open at the gallery at The Nose Coffee.

Known locally for her honesty box, where people buy cards and prints of local scenes, Caroline explains that all art sales help fund her adventures.

The Bollington Harriers member says getting the exhibition has felt a lot like one of her ultra races, with months of hard work and preparation required.

"There's no medal at the end of this one," she said, "but there's a huge sense of pride."

"Art and ultra running are surprisingly similar.

"Both are about energy, movement, and telling stories.

"This exhibition is my way of celebrating the people, places, and experiences that inspire me."

Caroline creates under the art brand Run Walk Draw.

People, Races, Places features her signature colourful continuous-line drawings, including sketches celebrating races she's completed, portraits of people she's met along the way, and vivid depictions of places she has explored, from familiar local landscapes to destinations discovered on her travels.

There is also a few experimental pieces, giving visitors a taste of her playful, exploratory side.

When it comes to running, Caroline's greatest achievements include completing the infamous Marathon des Sables in 2024 and her first 100-mile single-stage race earlier this year.

Her next big challenge will be the 230km Al Andalus Trail in Andalucía in July 2026.

Caroline's exhibition opened on Friday, August 29, and will be on display until Tuesday, September 23.

It is free to visit and open from 9am to 4pm daily.
