All Hallows Catholic College principal full of praise for 'resilient' year group



Students at All Hallows Catholic College are celebrating 'excellent' A-level and BTEC results.
Many have secured themselves places at leading universities, competitive apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
Principal Tim Beesley was full of praise for the 'resilient' year group, as well as highlighting the 'dedication' show by staff.
He said: "We're proud of every student who collected results today.
"These outcomes reflect not only academic achievement but also the resilience, effort, and character shown by this year group.
"I'd like to thank our staff for their dedication and our families for their continued support."

This year's highest-achieving student was Evangeline Ashton.
Her clean sweep of A*s in biology, chemistry, geography, and maths has seen her earn a place at the University of Oxford, where she will be studying earth sciences.
Meanwhile, Kathryn Arnott will be heading to Cambridge to study natural sciences.
Head students Sam Graves and Orla Baxter are also off to university, with Orla going to Newcastle to read law.
Sam, who will be reading theology and religion at Durham, said: "I am very grateful for all of the support and guidance that I received from All Hallows.
"These past two years have been incredibly challenging, and I couldn't have achieved my successes without the help of my amazing teachers".

Other high-performing students include Tabitha Elderton, Abby Hurst, Annabel Dunn, Leila Marchant, Will Clayton, Henry Simpson, Livi Turnock, Gloriya George, Dylan Roberts, and Hugo Skarratt.
Tabitha and Will have secured places at Edinburgh University to study English literature and Spanish & politics respectively.
Abby and Hugo are going to the University of Leeds to study biology and economics & Mathematics.
Annabel is studying marine biology at Aberystwyth University, Henry is going to the University of Sheffield to study mechanical engineering and Livi is going to the University of Birmingham to study psychology.
Inspired by a residential visit to Lancaster University, Leila is going there to study geography while Amy is going to study business management at Keele University.

David Howells, head of sixth form, said: "This cohort has worked hard and supported one another throughout their time in sixth form.
"Their results are well deserved, and we're confident they'll go on to make a real impact in whatever path they choose."
Chair of Governors, Clair Watson, added: "We are delighted with the achievements of our students.
"On behalf of the governing body, I'd like to thank the staff for their commitment and congratulate the students on their success."
