'Couldn't be prouder' - Oxbridge and AstraZeneca await hardworking Tytherington School pupils






A-level pupils have been praised for their 'hard work, grit and determination'.
Tytherington School is celebrating a 'fantastic' set of A-level results.
Oxford and Cambridge await several pupils, with others staying closer to home after securing apprenticeships with AstraZeneca.
Headteacher, Manny Botwe, said: "I am delighted with the achievement and progress the students have made during their time at Tytherington.
"I know that this cohort will go on to achieve really big things in the years ahead.
"As you will be aware, we have a very proud comprehensive and inclusive tradition at our sixth form.
"I am so pleased that we have the full range of students moving on to top universities, apprenticeships, and the world of work.
"Their success has been down to their resilience, grit and hard work combined with the expertise of our staff. Well done!"

Ant Wolverson, Nasrin Hatna and Yasmin Morgan have all secured places at the University of Oxford, while Eve Chrimes will be attending the University of Cambridge.
Staying closer to home, Edie Chadwick has secured a coveted degree apprenticeship with AstraZeneca.
Alexo Ihnatiev achieved the highest value-added scores in the Sixth Form, based on progress made from GCSE.
He has earned himself a place at Edinburgh University to study Medicine.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Coldwell and Freddie Mitchard have both been awarded places at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Head of sixth form, Rebecca Roe, said: "A huge well done to the Class of 2025!
"I couldn't be prouder of the determination and resilience our students have shown throughout this year.
"They leave Tytherington not only with cherished memories but also with a strong foundation for the exciting journey ahead."
