A unique comedy competition will be held in Macclesfield.

Ten comics will compete to win the very first RedWillow New Comedian of the Year award!

The event will be held at RedWillow Bar on Park Green on Wednesday December 20.

The pre-Christmas laughter-extravaganza is brought to you by Macclesfield Comedy Club and Nodding Dog Comedy

Jonathan Mayor will MC between the ten acts, which are vying for the publicly-voted prize.

The identity of the ten comics are a mystery for now, but the ten comics for the price of one, plus the competition, will make this a novelty night of chuckling that is not to be missed.

Nodding Dog Comedy said: "We have a very special festive feast of funny in store."

"It's another superb night of comedy as we mix the best beers in the world, with hopefully some of the funniest comedians!

"Each act performs a seven minute set and at the end of the night YOU decide who wins a box of beer and a paid gig on a pro night with Nodding Dog Comedy!

"Plus we'll be joined by a special guest headliner.

"We'll be getting seasonal with the tunes, flinging mince pies and hanging up our stockings - you don't want to miss it!

"It's our last RedWillow show of 2023! We hope to see you there!"

Venue opens at 7:00pm, closes at 11:00pm. Show starts at 830pm. Over 18s only.
