Biker injured in crash as police tell motorists to avoid the area

A biker was injured in a crash.

Cheshire Police shut down Hulley Road on Friday evening (December 13) following reports of a crash.

Motorists were told to avoid the area after a white moped and a red panel van collided shortly after 7pm.

The rider of the bike suffered injuries, however police say they are 'not believed to be life threatening'.

A spokesperson for the force said: "At 7.07pm on Friday, December 13, police were called to reports of a collision on Hulley Road, Macclesfield.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a white moped and a red panel van.

"The rider of the bike was injured as a result of the collision, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening."
