Fees could be introduced at a previously free car park.
Bollington Town Council has confirmed it will revisit the free parking provision at Pool Bank Car Park.
Until now, visitors have not had to pay any charges, with these fees covered by the town's part of the council tax – the precept.
However, with costs on the rise, this may have to be re-evaluated.
A spokesperson for the town council said: "As a consequence of Cheshire East Council proposals to significantly increase the costs, Bollington Town Council will be revisiting its previous decision regarding the provision for Pool Bank Car Park within the council's budget.
"A decision on this matter will be made at the next full council meeting."

The spokesperson continued: "Until such time as a new decision is reached, the budget allocation for 2026/27 will remain at zero.
"This is due to the proposed increase in costs from Cheshire East Council, which exceeds the amount previously approved by Bollington Town Council.
"The council remains committed to acting responsibly with public funds and will provide an update following the forthcoming meeting."
Bollington Town Council's next full council meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 4.
The agenda for the meeting states there will be a review of all day parking charges and the agreement with Cheshire East Council.
However, this part of the meeting is due to be held in private, with public and press excluded.
