Bollington's new gift shop has enjoyed a successful start to life.
The Hankdkerchief Tree on Palmerston Street swung open its doors on Tuesday, November 3.
Cutting the ribbon was the Mayor of Bollington, councillor Dickie Fletcher.
He said: "I was delighted to be asked to officially open the Handkerchief Tree, a fabulous new gift shop on Palmerston Street full of treasures for all occasions.
"And having made a purchase, I was their very first customer too!
"Independent shops are so important for the town's vitality, both for our residents and visitors.
"I recommend a visit to the Handkerchief Tree - perfect for Christmas gifts.
"Shop local to keep the 'high street' alive."

The shop's owner, former social worker Helen Pearson, moved to Bollington four years ago.
Having been retired for a couple of years, she decided it was time for a fresh challenge.
She is hoping The Handkerchief Tree can fill the void left by the Love Bollington Market.
Inside you will find a range of handmade clothing, wooden bowls, pottery, throws, candles, jewellery and even lampshades made from old maps of Bollington.
They also sell fresh flowers supplied by a local florist and boast their own studio, where they will host craft workshops.
Asked how things have gone so far, Helen said: "The opening with the mayor went really well and the first few days have been so busy!
"The comments from customers have been very positive and generally people seem pleased to see a new gift shop in Bollington."
