Bus operator 'excited to deliver improvements' as two key routes across Macclesfield set to merge
Two key bus routes across Macclesfield will soon be merged into one.
D&G Bus has announced a number of 'improvements' designed to boost local connectivity.
It is described as a 'landmark moment' and continues D&G's commitment to upgrading its services and pledges to deliver a sustainable and environmentally-friendly network.
Dan Flanagan, area operations manager for Cheshire, said: "Myself and all of the Cheshire team are excited to deliver the improvements to the network of local bus services to the local communities, offering a reliable alternative to the car.

Here in Macclesfield, the 3 and 10 services will be merged, starting Monday, September 1.
The new service will run from Weston to Bollington via Macclesfield College, Macclesfield Bus Station, Hulley Road (for AstraZeneca) and Tytherington.
There are also slight changes to times, which D&G say will improve reliability.

Elsewhere, new Monday to Friday journeys will be introduced on the 12A running half-hourly between Leighton Hospital, Parkers Road, Underwood Lane, Crewe Bus Station, Crewe Railway Station and Crewe Business Park.
Some journeys on service 12 will be renumbered as service 13 and will operate via Bradfield Road, North Street and Broad Street between Leighton Hospital and Crewe.
