Buses connecting Macclesfield to Manchester Airport to be reintroduced next week
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 29th Jan 2026
Buses connecting Macclesfield to Manchester Airport will be reintroduced next week.
From Monday, January 26, passengers will be able to ride the 130 D&G Bus service all the way from Macclesfield town centre to the international airport.
At present, the service only runs between Macclesfield and Wythenshawe, and these times will not change.
However, the route will now continue on to the airport.
Dan Flanagan, D&G's area operations manager for Cheshire said: "Following a further review of service 130 by Cheshire East Council, we are pleased to announce the route between Wythenshawe and Manchester Airport is scheduled to resume on Monday, January 26."
"We are working closely with our partners Cheshire East Council to ensure we continue to provide a regular, reliable and robust service 130 which our customers expect and deserve."
Please note that these changes will only impact the 130 service Monday through Saturday.
The 130 is operated by High Peak Buses on Sunday and this will remain unchanged.
