Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.

It follows reports of a man acting suspiciously at two retail stores in Macclesfield town centre on Monday, August 4.

This was followed by reports of a man matching the same description acting suspiciously at two retail stores in the Handforth area on Friday, August 8.

Officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incidents.

Inspector Richard Haque, of Macclesfield Local Policing Unit, said: "Enquiries in relation to these incidents are currently ongoing and as part of our investigation, we would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image.

"If anyone recognises him, please contact us via www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting IML 2150470.

"I would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to come forward."
