Beech Hall School is celebrating as pupils collect their GCSE results.

The Tytherington-based school has applauded the efforts of its students, achieving an overall pass rate of 85%, with 95% passing English language and 90% in maths.

The school also boasts 100% pass rates in English literature, art, biology, design technology, German, music and Spanish.

Half of all pupils attained a grade 7 or above as Beech Hall recorded a value-added score of +4.1, with many pupils exceeding their predicted outcomes by an average of four GCSE grades based on baseline assessment data.

James Allen, Headmaster at Beech Hall School, commented: "We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the commitment they have shown throughout their time at Beech Hall.

"Their passion for learning shines through in the remarkable progress they have made and the excellent outcomes they have achieved, and it has been a real pleasure to see them grow in confidence along the way.

"At Beech Hall School, we are dedicated to nurturing every aspect of a child's development, creating a supportive community and inspiring learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential academically, socially, physically and emotionally.

"It has been particularly wonderful to see so many pupils in this year's cohort embrace new challenges, step beyond their comfort zones and flourish as a result.

"We wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey, whether that continues here at Beech Hall or takes them further afield."

Among this year's high achievers is Thane Mackintosh, who sat his mathematics GCSE a year early in Year 10, securing a grade 9.

Departing head boy Austin O'Connor, 16, is also celebrating his results and looking ahead to an exciting next step.

Austin has secured a golf apprenticeship at Prestbury Golf Club, alongside his role as junior captain at Macclesfield Golf Club, where he currently plays off an impressive handicap of 1.2.

Meanwhile, senior prefect, 16-year-old Xandra Robertson, was delighted to discover that her efforts had been rewarded with an outstanding set of nine GCSEs.

The Congleton resident's results include a grade 8 and 9 in English language and literature respectively, as well as a grade 7 in art.

She will be progressing to sixth form to study A-levels in English language, art, psychology, and philosophy and ethics.

Mr Allen added: "Xandra has worked exceptionally hard throughout her time at Beech Hall School, and we are delighted that her efforts have been rewarded with a strong set of GCSE results.

"She has shown real determination and commitment, both in her studies and her role as a senior prefect, and we wish her all the best as she moves on to sixth form."
