Surfacing works is set to take place for one of Macclesfield's biggest car parks.

The Grosvenor Multi-storey Car Park, on Churchill Way / Stanley Street, will be shut next month.

In a statement, Cheshire East Council said: "Grosvenor Multi-storey Car Park in Macclesfield will be closed for three weeks from Monday 1 July to allow a full resurfacing of its lower floors."

"The car park, which sits directly above Macclesfield Indoor Market, is having the works to improve its weather resistance.

"Advance notice signage will be installed to notify all car park users."

"For a full list of alternative parking options in Macclesfield to use during the closure, please check this page Car Parks in Macclesfield Cheshire (cheshireeast.gov.uk)."

Meanwhile, the Jordangate Multi-Storey carpark is set to reopen on Saturday, after repair works.
