Thieves stole charity boxes from a petrol station.

The fuel station at Hibel Road Tesco superstore was cordoned off by police on Monday, November 24.

It comes after a break-in in the early hours of the morning, with the offenders making off with two charity boxes.

Now, Cheshire Police are urging anyone with information or video footage to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the force said: "At around 2.10am on Monday, November 24, police were called to reports of an alarm activation at a petrol station on Hibel Road, Macclesfield.

"Police attended and found unknown offenders had forced entry into the store and stolen two charity boxes.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information or video footage which may aid the investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML 2220469."
