Chestergate street party doubles in size with even more family friendly entertainment on offer for 2025

A street party has doubled in size for its second year.
Summer Days Street Party returns later this month, celebrating Chestergate West's vibrant hospitality and independent shopping scene.
Expect live music, food, and fete games as well as pop-up bars, workshops and a bustling community of local shops on this year's summer solstice.
Leigh Jennings, from Dick's General Store at Picturedrome, said: "Following the success of last year's event, Summer Days returns for 2025!
"Organised by local business owners, led by Louise Bullock of Loola Loves, with support from Macclesfield Town Council.
"This is a A family friendly event with entertainment for all ages.
"A celebration of our neighbourhood, our fab local independent businesses and a chance to bring the community together.
"Celebrating the Summer Solstice, bringing together community groups, charities and local clubs."

The Summer Days Street Party takes place on Saturday (June 21).
Free to attend, the action gets underway at 11am, coming to close at 6pm.
This year the event has doubled in size, with the road closure extending all the way to Picutredrome, meaning that businesses such as Baked By Bean and Rubens will be included in the street food offering.
There is also a bigger kids craft area at Spiveys Web with dress up, Lego and summer solstice themed crafts.
Organisers have even booked some bands and dancers for the day who will be performing on a bigger stage down by the Chestergate street painting.

On top of all this, you can expect various arts and crafts, a raffle, window trail, special offers and fete games.
There will then be an afterparty at The Depot from 6pm.
Free buses are being put on in the Macclesfield area throughout the day to support the event.
