'Concerns for welfare' prompts emergency response in Macclesfield

Concerns for a woman's welfare prompted a large emergency service response.
Police, fire and ambulance crews descended on Maydews Passage in Macclesfield on Wednesday afternoon, September 30.
It followed reports of 'concerns for the welfare' of a woman.
Cheshire Police officers arrived at the scene and located the woman, who was then passed over to the care of paramedics.
A spokesperson for the force said: "At 4.19pm on Wednesday, September 30, police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman in Maydews Passage, Macclesfield.
"Officers attended and the woman was passed to the care of paramedics."
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were also made aware of the incident.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene as a precaution, but no action was required.
