It looks like an empty shop unit on Chestergate has found a new tenant.

The unit, to the right of Spectacular Fireworks on Chestergate's west side, has a sign in the window implying what is to come next.

The sheet at 105 Chestergate reads "Great news. We'll soon be opening these doors to you for all your custom design handcrafted jewellery needs and repairs.

"The shop will be swiftly transformed to a gallery and boutique where you'll have access to the most elegant pieces."

An opening date has not been specified, nor are there any contact details. And nobody was in when Macclesfield Nub News knocked... but watch (pun not intended) this space.

Chestergate has a jewellery shop on the east side, being PR Jones' two units, but there's none on this side of town.

The vacancy being filled is one of the last empty shops on Chestergate, and is seemingly going to be occupied by another independent business.

The retail unit has formerly housed businesses like The Quilting Box and Macclesfield Radio Cars.

Macclesfield Nub News would love the owner to get in touch about verifying this piece, and to work on a potential future article. If this is you, why not get in touch?
