Following our recent story of two dogs abandoned in the July heatwave being ready to find a new home, more animals have come
While toys could last a few weeks, welcoming animals into your home could give you memories which last forever.
Here is an extensive list of some furry friends that are up for rehoming from RSPCA Macclesfield.
Macclesfield: Could you give any of these lovely pets a fur-ever home?
Giant Rabbit Group
Being fostered in Bollington, these big bunnies were rescued from an allotment in the north east where they were being bred for meat in cramped conditions.
Four of them are up for adoption, are are currently being fostered in Bollington.
Black furred Fred, medium-sized grey hopper Charlie, small grey coney Ron, and the biggest grey bunny Bill are after a new home.
The giant rabbit quartet have already seen some of their parents and siblings adopted, but these four are still after some permanent human companionship.
RSPCA Macclesfield described their previous conditions as 'horrendous'.
Ron and Fred can be adopted together, whereas Charlie and Ron are looking for females to bond with.
They have all been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. They need a large living space as most are still growing. They could be house rabbits but again they need a copious amount of floor space.
Adoption fees are £55 per rabbit or £95 per pair of bunnies. More info here.
Carmen
This cute cat is still a kitten at just five months old.
Carmen being fostered in Macclesfield, after arriving in RSPCA Macclesfield's care last month.
RSPCA Macclesfield describe her as "a lively and playful girl."
"She has settled very well, hesitation at first but given her history is not surprising.
"She has a little squeaky meow but a huge loud purr. Her fave toy is a feather stick and she plays chase for hours and hours. She then will sit with you and sleep. She also developed a taste for garden peas and Greek yoghurt.
"She was infested with fleas when she was found, she became a stray after her owner had sadly died.
"While in private boarding for a few weeks, before she found a foster space with us, she went to the vets for a lame leg, they think she fell and hurt herself, which was soon cleared up with treatment.
Carmen has been vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV tested, microchipped and neutered. Carmen is a super friendly and confident girl and will suit any household. More info here.
Joyce and Hopper
This male and female pair are adorable. Named after characters from Netflix's Stranger Things, these three-year-old mammals are seeking a new home in Macclesfield.
Currently fostered in our town, the bunnies were given up to RSPCA Macclesfield as their owners were leaving the area.
RSPCA Macclesfield said "They've had their vaccinations, both fine and dandy, but do have a minuscule spot of dermatitis on their hind legs but nothing to worry about; a soft surface will help prevent it."
Adoption fees are £55 per rabbit or £95 per pair of bunnies.
RSPCA Macclesfield added: "Hopper is most definitely the confident one and Joyce the timid one."
"They love to run and play, they are into everything, very inquisitive and they love their food too!
"They like to dig and chew so they'll need decent enrichment for this and lots of space. They haven't been used to young children, probably too skittish for little humans; also, they have not been around other animals.
"Originally they came from a home where breeding was allowed to get out of control." More info here.
Luna and Astrid
Female felines Luna and Astrid are our final furry friends seeking new accommodation today.
The two-year-old moggys are domestic shorthairs which are believed to be sisters.
They've been without a permanent home since August. RSPCA Macclesfield said they were a "stunning pair of Gingerettes."
"They came from a home of over 80 cats (with RSPCA Macclesfield taking in four).
"Luna is what we call a 'tripod' (or tri-pawd, if you will) in her previous home she broke a leg falling off a unit, the aftercare wasn't great and eventually the leg had to be amputated due to infection. But this does not affect Luna in any way!
"They are both neutered (Luna was done by our vet), Astrid sadly had to have 8 teeth extracted due to very bad dental disease, she also received treatment for a bad eye.
"They are vaccinated and chipped."
