A drug dealer from Macclesfield has been jailed.

Alec Cosgrove, of Cuckstoolpit Hill, has been sentenced to almost four years in prison.

It comes after the 35-year-old admitted to two charges of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, in the Macclesfield area.

He also pleaded guilty to two charges of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

These offences occurred between March 24 and April 16 this year.

Cosgrove appeared at Chester Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, August 1.

On top of his 36-month imprisonment, Cosgrove will serve a further nine months for a separate offence.

This brings his total sentence to 45 months.
