Family fun day raises £5,000 as autism charity celebrates 20th birthday

A family fun day helped raise over £5,000 for charity.
More than 250 people flocked to Lifestyle Fitness at Macclesfield College on Sunday (May 25) for Space4Autism's 20th birthday fundraiser event.
Families enjoyed a range of activities including a climbing wall, sensory play, arts, and crafts, beat the goalie, circus skills and magic tricks.
Lisa Warburton, Space4Autism's community and project manager, said: "The Family Fun Day was amazing!
"With some match funding from Barclays Bank Radbrooke Park, we raised a staggering £5,457.47 which will help Space4Autism continue deliver vital services to support autistic children, adults and their families in the Cheshire East area.
"Space4Autism would like to thank all local business for supporting the event, all volunteers who helped run the event and especially everyone who came along to the event.
"Special thanks also to Lifestyle Fitness and Macclesfield College who provided the venue."

The summer is only just getting started for Space4Autism, who turn 20 in 2025.
On July 12 they will team up with the Rossendale Trust to stage the first-ever Shine a Light Festival.
Taking place at Victoria Park, the free-to-attend event will feature live entertainment, sports competitions, an artisan market, a picnic area, food vendors and more.
Sue Heaven, head of PR and fundraising at Rossendale, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Shine A Light Festival alongside Space4Autism!
"This is going to be a fantastic day for the whole community—bringing people together, celebrating local talent, and shining a light on the incredible work of local charities.
"We can't wait to welcome everyone for a day of fun and entertainment."
