Firefighters have worked throughout the night tackling a blaze near a historic pub.
Emergency services were called out to Higher Sutton in the early hours of Wednesday morning (May 21) following reports of a fire on Ridge Hill.
Five engines, including two from Macclesfield and one each from the Bollington, Congleton and Wilmslow stations, arrived at the scene shortly before 2am.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "In the early hours of this morning, fire crews were called to tackle a large fire in an outbuilding that had spread to surrounding grassland.
"The fire is near to, but not involving, The Hanging Gate Inn pub."

At 3.15am the fire service confirmed that the grass fire had continued to spread and was affecting an area of around 50 metres by 100 metres.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and fire beaters to help bring the fire under control," the spokesperson added.
At 4.30am the fire service began advising residents to keep windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
A full road closure has been put in place on Ridge Hill.

The next update came an hour later, when the number of engines in attendance was reduced.
At this time, around 5.30am, the affected are was measuring 100 metres by 100 metres.
Relief crews started to arrive shortly after 6am, this included engines from the Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Knutsford stations as well as the water bowser from Crewe.
The spokesperson added: "Good progress is being made to tackle the fire as firefighters continue to dampen down the area."
