Eight jobs announced at Macclesfield school

The Fallibroome Academy in Macclesfield on a hiring drive for multiple different jobs.

The Priory Lane place of education have just announced four new positions on the Macclesfield Nub News Jobs section.

In addition to the PE Technician vacancy revealed as our recent Macclesfield Job of the Week, the other new jobs at the Upton Priory school are as follows:

Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant

Their sixth form, which comprises about 200 16-18 year olds, is after a trustworthy Pastoral Assistant to speak with the students.

The successful candidate will:

              - provide an efficient, effective and confidential secretarial and general administrative                         support for the Academy Sixth Form including maintenance of relevant data and information management systems.

               - provide pastoral support and mentoring for Sixth Form students.

               - assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Sixth Form Centre.

Food Services Assistant

In the canteen, a person is required to work 15 hours a week, for a pay of £9.50-£9.60 per hour.

"We wish to invite applications from enthusiastic individuals to join our catering team to assist in providing an efficient and effective catering service in accordance with Healthy Eating and DFE guidance," said a Fallibroome spokesperson.

The role entails assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation and serving of meals and snacks to staff and students.

Cover Supervisor

With over 32 hours per week across 38.4 weeks a year, you can be the go-to teacher when one is sick.

The successful candidate will provide supervision of whole classes of pupils and ensure that set work is completed in the absence of the teacher.

Actual Salary Range: £14,891-£16,811 (Pay Award Pending). More pay is negotiable for a suitably experienced candidate

Behaviour Supervisor

Working under the direction of the Behaviour Manager, the Behaviour Supervisor is responsible for supporting students whose behaviour in lessons and in school has fallen below expectations. 

They will work with pupils who demonstrate difficulties managing their behaviour and/or attending school. 

They will occasionally supervise whole classes and ensure that set work is completed in the absence of the teacher and also the roles of Inclusion Supervisor or Student Services Supervisors when needed.

£16,684-£19,039 (Actual – pay award pending). 37 hours p/w. Apply here.

Special Needs Teaching Assistants

The only vacancy on the list which can hire multiple people for the role, Special Needs Teaching Assistants are wanted at Fallibroome.

Offering £10.39-£11.47 per hour and starting in September 2022, You should have experience of working with pupils with a range of learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities. 

Applicants must possess excellent, clear and influential communications skills and have high levels of competency in Mathematics, English and ICT.

Student Services Attendance & Administration Officer

The Student Services Attendance & Administration Officer requires 32.5 hours per week across 38.2 weeks.

The successful candidate will provide administration support to the student services team and Heads of Year. 

The duties of the post are varied but include ensuring that all attendance registers are accurate and following up on any missing data. This will involve liaising with other staff, parents/guardians and external agencies. Other duties include administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, photocopying, filing and minute-taking.

Food Technology Technician

Also starting in September, a foodie is wanted to assist both teachers and students within the department in order that the food department can deliver their lessons effectively.
