You can get a COVID-19 test while you do your weekend shopping today.

Tesco on Hibel Road, or as it is more colloquially known 'Big Tesco', will be hosting the FREE rapid result tests today.

The Cheshire East Swab Squad will be available in the carpark of the superstore from 9am to 4pm today.

They said: "Instead of being outside the town hall today, we are in Tesco Hibel Rd carpark. Here until 4pm, come on down to grab a rapid test just in time for the weekend."

There are currently 37 cases in Central Macclesfield registered by the government, on the seven days to August 7. This is the highest in the Macclesfield area.

Bollington and Tytherington have the second highest with 31 and 32 cases respectively.
