A Macclesfield accountancy firm has raised a staggering amount of money for a Macclesfield charity.

On Saturday, April 27, a dedicated team of six from Harts Accountants braved the renowned Born Survivor 2024 challenge.

Now, the fundraising figures has been totted up, which will see an impressive £2,150 donated in support of Macclesfield's East Cheshire Hospice.

Born Survivor, celebrated as the UK's most exhilarating and groundbreaking obstacle course, offers participants a formidable 10k military-style challenge.

This extraordinary event pushes the limits of personal fitness, courage, determination, teamwork, and camaraderie.

Luke Oldham, Corporate Fundraiser from East Cheshire Hospice, expressed his admiration for the Harts team: "The team at Harts have been brilliant to work and engage with. They should all be incredibly proud of what they have managed to achieve. Not only did they conquer an extremely challenging event, but they exceeded their fundraising target, a challenge in itself."

"The money raised will have a big impact on our patients and staff. As a charitable organisation, we rely on people in our community like the team at Harts to help keep our service open to those that need it. We are so grateful to have their support. I look forward to the next challenge with Harts."

East Cheshire Hospice serves as a beacon of hope for the local community, tirelessly working to enhance the lives of individuals battling life-limiting illnesses. With only 17% of its funding coming from the government, the hospice heavily relies on generous donations to sustain its crucial services.

From essential facilities to invaluable support, the hospice provides patients and their families with the compassionate care and assistance they so desperately need.

The Millbank Drive good cause has been serving the Macclesfield community for almost 40 years.

The Macclesfield accountants also have offices in Stockport and Manchester.

Harts Accountants is located on Westminster Road, Macclesfield.
