Homes evacuated as bomb squad called in following discovery of World War Two ordnance

A bomb squad has been called in following the discovery of a second world war ordnance.

Cheshire Police are currently in attendance at Priest Lane in Mottram St Andrew.

It comes following the discovery of a suspected World War Two ordnance.

The explosive ordnance disposal is also at the scene and are now assessing the device.

As a result of the incident, a number of properties in the local area have been evacuated.

A police cordon has been put in place as a precautionary measure.
